Longwy defence

Axis are pushing hard on the river line. British divisions face daily onslaughts from the German War Machine east of the river.

Longwy was being attacked on three sides, and 9RTR was tasked with pushing up to the forward line NE of Longwy. A few heavy tanks with cruiser support were facing down a german forward base. I saw a matilda get knocked out, and unbelievably the cruiser support fell back and left my Mattie in an exposed position. Managed to knock out a single 88, before the inevitable volly of returned fire destroyed the tank. Not the greatest start ever!
